The SFP200 IC is a current and voltage measurment IC designed to resolve currents from mA to kA (with an appropriate shunt), while simultaneously measuring three high-voltage potentials. AEC-Q100 qualified, this cost-effective IC is designed for the needs of electric vehicles (EVs) and Energy Storage Systems (ESS). Communication is via an isolated CAN 2.0B interface (500 kbit/s). With appropriate circuity (reference designs and calibration instructions are available from Sendyne), modules based on the IC can achieve an accuracy of ±1.0 % (typ. 0.5%) for current measurement over the whole operating temperature range of –40 °C to +125 °C. Sendyne also offers a inexpensive companion shunt capable of resolving currents up
to 1500 A
SFP200 IC is capable of precisely measuring currents from mA to kA, while simultaneously measuring three high-voltage potentials accurately. Designed specifically for the needs of electric vehicles (EVs) and Energy Storage Systems (ESS), this cost-effective, automotive grade member of Sendyne’s SFP family communicates via an isolated CAN 2.0B interface (500 kbit/s).
For ease and exactness of State of Charge (SOC) estimation, the SFP200 IC provides separate charge, discharge and total Coulomb output.
An evaluation kit, including a CAN to USB dongle and cables, and PC software is available. There is a minimum quantity order of 2K.
